Description: An international group of educators will review and reflect on the last 5 years of CBME research, highlighting the successes and ongoing areas for further investigation, in particular the increasing importance of context in future CBME work. A series of brief presentations and moderated audience Q/A will focus on how the next 5 years of CBME research can create greater conceptual understanding and practical implementation of CBME

Learning Objectives:
1. Describe progress made, and gaps remaining, in CBME research published since 2017.
2. Explain how CBME can be advanced through research that addresses gaps such as the importance of context.
3. Appraise how CBME research since 2017 has clarified or confused conceptual understanding and practical implementation efforts in CBME
