From the ICE Blog admin: We are excited to be joining forces with the International Collaboration of Competency-Based Medical Educators to bring you a new weekly column all about CBME. Posts will appear weekly, on Thursdays. Join us next Thursday for the first post!
We are also thrilled to announce a new member joining our editorial team to lead this column: Leila Niemi-Murola, MD, PHD, MME, AFAMEE, a national CBME facilitator in Finland – she introduces the column below. Welcome to the team, Leila!
There are many members in our network, and only handful of them will be able to share their views during the monthly meetings. However, there is so much going on, our members are working with their innovations and reflecting their experiences. This blog will give you impressions of our work and a glimpse of the future of medical education.
Most blog texts will broaden the perspectives presented in the scientific articles written by the members of the network. The articles are always written according to a format, which does not leave much room for personal views and perceptions. We are expected to write what we know and no more, and with this blog the authors will be able to further elaborate their thoughts.
