This is Lara Varpio\’s (@LaraVarpio) 9th \’Methods Consult\’ for KeyLIME.

As a PHD trained scientist working in the field, it is of Lara\’s opinion that her job is to help others gain the skills and expertise needed to engage in Health Professions Education scholarship and research. In this series, Lara gives some background and highlights the benefits of interdisciplinary collaboration for illuminating research.

In her 9th episode, she looks to clear up any confusion listeners may have about mixed methods research.  While she has made it a personal goal of hers to stay well versed in the foundational principles of mixed methods research, it is a space where development is constant. Therefore, she has invited a guest and expert to join her on this week\’s episode: Dr. Alexis Battista (@abbattist), from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
